Curtis Lee Smith,  October 29, 1942 - August 23, 2021 (78 years old), Livingston, Texas 

Curtis Lee Smith---born to Samuel L. Smith and Noble Lee (Thompson) on October 29, 1942, in Brady, Texas---passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021, in Livingston, Tx at the age of 78.

He is survived by Mary Maudine (Malone) Smith, wife of 57 years; children, Michael Smith, and Mandy Brown; sister, Susan LaBrose, three grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew, and Sara; uncle, Roy Lee Smith; aunt, Jane Grumbles, grandchildren of our heart, T.J. Blankenship, Callie Marie Blankenship, and as well and many other family members and a host of friends.

Curtis is a Veteran of the United States Coast Guard, a Founding member of the Pulmonary Fibrosis Association of Texas, National Coast Guard Association, Volkswagen Club, Former Deacon of the Northside Church of Christ, as well as a scout leader in California and Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel L Smith, and Noble Lee Thompson; brother, E. Brook Smith; and brother-in law, Joe K. Malone

A Celebration of life for Curtis was held Thursday, August 26, 2021, at 2:00 with a 3:00 graveside service that followed at Bluff Creek Cemetery in Livingston, Texas

with pastors Art Moody, Ardie P. Brown, and Robert Raif officiating.

I am so sorry to hear about Curtis' passing away.  Prayers for his family and friends!
We mourn the passing of another classmate!
